For the 2020/21 season, the EVZ is installing a new LED cube in the BOSSARD Arena and wants to create a new experience for match visitors.
The BOSSARD Arena was opened in 2010 and was considered the most modern ice hockey stadium in Switzerland. In order to be able to continue to guarantee the high standard, there are some technical improvements. The city of Zug, as the owner of the building, is taking over the installation and financing of new arena lighting and a new acoustic system. The changeover to LEDs will reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs. The acoustic system will be installed in a decentralised manner and should lead to better speech intelligibility and sound quality in the auditoriums.
The conversions will take place in the months of May and June. This is the ideal time for the EVZ to set new standards in terms of video cubes and to invest in a new LED cube that meets the latest requirements. “The investment includes a high-resolution media cube with a surface area of 150 m2 in a unique, seamless design, including a digital display panel. With the larger display areas and the 360-degree effect, we have new possibilities which will make a visit to the BOSSARD Arena even more unique and also offer new investment opportunities for partners and sponsors”, Patrick Lengwiler, EVZ CEO, is convinced.
