With the loss of the KBZ site, the parking situation around EVZ home games had changed significantly, which is why EVZ, together with Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe AG and Tech Cluster Zug, offered a parking and shuttle service from the Mobility Hub on Industriestrasse to the OYM hall.
After one month and six home games, those responsible took stock: on average, only one vehicle per game used the service. “Apparently, there is currently no need for a Park & Ride service among our match attendees. It therefore makes no sense to continue,” explains EVZ CEO Patrick Lengwiler. “However, the concept is ready – should there be more demand in the future, we can resume it at any time.”
To make it easier for fans to get to games, EVZ teamed up with Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe AG and Tech Cluster Zug in early September to launch a Park & Ride service for National League home games. Due to low demand, the service is being discontinued with immediate effect.
