Balestra, Gredig and Schneller at the Swiss national team’s Prospect Camp

The men’s senior national team’s five-day prospect camp gets underway today in Davos. Three EVZ players are also taking part.

The aim of the Prospect Camp is to gradually familiarise the best young Swiss ice hockey players under the age of 25 with the structures, playing philosophy and mindset of the senior national team. At the same time, it is intended to ease the transition from the youth teams to the top level, as well as the move from national to international ice hockey.

National coach Jan Cadieux: “The Prospect Camp has clearly proved its worth in recent years. We look forward to closely observing the 34 players selected, offering them an important platform and giving them the opportunity to prove themselves for greater responsibilities within the national team. Our aim is to drive their development forward in a targeted manner and guide them, step by step, towards the top level of Swiss ice hockey.”

Three EVZ players – Nic Balestra, Rico Gredig and Eric Schneller will also be taking part in Davos. EVZ wishes its three players a successful camp and looks forward to their return for the first on-ice training session on Monday 3 August!
