At the Congress Kursaal in Interlaken, the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation honored the top players and other figures who shaped Swiss ice hockey during the 2025–26 season.
An award also went to the EVZ. Captain Lara Stalder led the Zug women’s team to the championship title and victory in the National Cup with 24 goals and 38 assists in 33 games and was honored with the “MVP Postfinance Women’s League” award at the Swiss Ice Hockey Night. Lara Stalder: “I’m proud of the whole team! The fact that only three EVZ players were nominated for the MVP Award shows that we performed at a consistently high level throughout the season.”
Together with her teammates on the women’s national team, Lara Stalder received a second award. On Thursday, the women’s national team was honored with the “Hockey Award,” a special award, for winning the bronze medal at the Olympics in Milan-Cortina in February. The bronze-medal team also included Zug natives Annic Büchi, Rahel Enzler, and Alina Marti. Ivana Wey, who is now trying her luck overseas, was also under contract with EVZ during the Olympic bronze medal run.
More than 420 guests from the worlds of sports and politics attended the gala, where awards were presented in the categories “Most Valuable Player (MVP) Regular Season National League,” “MVP Playoffs National League,” “Goaltender of the Year National League,” “Youngster of the Year, National League,” “MVP, PostFinance Women’s League,” “MVP, Sky Swiss League,” and “MVP, MyHockey League” were presented. The entire EVZ Women’s Team was also present in Interlaken (see photo below).
