Seven women from Zug in coach Miller’s first national team squad

New national coach Shannon Miller has called up seven EVZ players for Switzerland’s three matches at the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour, which takes place in Kloten from 19 to 22 August.

The women’s national team has an eventful few months ahead. The World Championships take place in Denmark in November. And as early as August, the national team will come together for the first time under their new head coach. From 19 to 22 August, Switzerland will play three matches in four days as part of the Women’s Euro Hockey Tour in Kloten, facing Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic.

The fixture list:
Wednesday 19 August, 7.00 pm: Switzerland v Sweden
Friday 21 August, 7.00 pm: Switzerland v Finland
Saturday 22 August, 3.00 pm: Switzerland v Czech Republic

Once again, a large proportion of the national team squad consists of players from the EVZ Women’s Team. Seven players from Zug have been selected for the three matches in August. They are led by captain Lara Stalder, whilst Rahel Enzler, Alina Marti, Jael Manetsch and Luisa Waser have also been called up for the attack. The Zug septet is rounded off by defenders Mara Frey and Nina Harju.
