2026/27 Pre-season Programme
15 August: Frölunda HC v EVZ 4–1
The EVZ Women’s Team are taking on a top international side right at the start of their pre-season. In Davos, the Zug side face the Swedish runners-up, Frölunda HC. After a goalless first period, the Swedes pulled ahead to 3–0 by the midway point of the match. Rahel Enzler then scored to make it 1–3, before Frölunda struck again to make it 4–1 in the 34th minute. It was to be the last goal of the evening – partly because the EVZ grew stronger as the match went on.
Daniela Diaz, Head Coach of the EVZ Women’s Team: “That was a good test of where we stand. The aim was for us to learn. We were able to improve as the match went on. The final period in particular was strong. We’re satisfied, have learnt a lot and are already looking forward to the next matches – against Swedish teams again.”
In two weeks’ time, following the international break, the Women’s Team will face Färjestad and Brynäs in Karlstad as part of the Karlstad Puck Trophy.
