Since 2006, Zug Cantonal Hospital has been the EVZ’s Official Medical Partner. As part of this expanded collaboration, the Women’s Team will now also receive more comprehensive medical care: at every home match, as well as away matches in the play-offs, the Zug women’s team will in future be looked after on site by a team doctor. Harry Leemann heads the three-strong medical team, which is complemented by Jens Gütler and Daniel Wegmann.
Like the Women’s Team, the Men’s Team is also looked after by Zug Cantonal Hospital. Beat Schwegler will remain the head team doctor for the 2026/27 season. He will now be supported by Markus Keller and Urs Hefti. Both are specialists in orthopaedics and traumatology with a proven interest in sports medicine and several years’ experience as ice hockey team doctors. Res Rindlisbacher remains the EVZ’s medical consultant.
