Vinzenz Rohrer joins EVZ on loan!

The Austrian national team player is joining the EVZ on loan from the Montréal Canadiens for the 2026–27 season. Rohrer still has a valid contract with the NHL organization through the 2027–28 season and can be recalled to North America at any time.

Originally from Vorarlberg, Rohrer joined the ZSC Lions at junior level. In 2022, he was selected by the Montréal Canadiens in the third round of the NHL Draft, 75th overall. In the following years, Rohrer developed into a consistent point producer in the National League and was named “Youngster of the Year” in spring 2024. Last summer, Rohrer signed an NHL entry-level contract, played on loan in Zurich and, at the end of the season, appeared in six AHL games for Montréal’s farm team, the Laval Rocket.

Vinzenz Rohrer will now continue his career in Switzerland. At EVZ, he will wear jersey number 9. Welcome to Zug, Vinzenz!
