After a 2:0 win over Latvia in the last preparation game on Saturday, Patrick Fischer has announced his team for the A-World Championship from May 10th-26th in Slovakia. There will be two current and two future players from Zug.
For Lino Martschini it is the second World Championship participation, for the current national team captain Raphael Diaz already the seventh. With Leonardo Genoni and Grégory Hofmann, two future players from Zug are also on the roster. Janis Moser, Alessio Bertaggia, Christoph Bertschy, Nico Hischier and Philipp Kurashev are celebrating their debut at an A- World Championship. The defenders Andrea Glauser (SCL Tigers) and Samuel Kreis (Biel) as well as the strikers Denis Hollenstein (ZSC Lions) and Marco Müller (Ambrì-Piotta) were the last who were sent back home.
The Swiss national team will complete one last training session on Tuesday and fly to Slovakia on Wednesday. The first World Championship game will take place on Saturday, 11 May, against Italy.
