In the quarterfinals, Zug will meet the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Advance sales start on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Thanks to the victory in Lausanne, EVZ ends the regular season in 6th place - a single point ahead of Fribourg-Gottéron, who have to go through the pre-playoffs. This means that the people of Zug qualify directly for the playoffs, where the opponent will be Rapperswil-Jona from Wednesday, March 15, 2023. The record against the St.Gallers in the regular season is balanced, both teams were able to celebrate two wins each.
Meanwhile, further decisions were made on Saturday: Geneva secured the qualifying win thanks to a win after 60 minutes against Ajoie. SC Bern, EHC Kloten and HC Lugano qualified for the pre-playoffs, in which the two quarter-final opponents from Geneva (1st) and Biel (2nd) will be determined. The season came to an early end for Lausanne HC (11th) after the defeat against EVZ.
