The 31-year old Swede, Viktor Stalberg, has signed a two-year contract with EVZ.

The wing-forward originally was part of the Swedish organisation, Frölunda. He has played in the NHL since 2009, where he appeared in a total of 548 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Nashville Predators, the New York Rangers, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Ottawa Senators, achieving 179 scorer points. In the 2012/13 season he won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks. Last season he transferred from Carolina to Ottawa and played for the Senators against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Conference Final, which they lost 4:3.

Viktor Stalberg has signed a two-season contract with EVZ and forms the Zuger foreign-player quartet along with David McIntyre (CAN), Carl Klingberg (SWE) and Garrett Roe (USA). Josh Holden (CAN) has signed a one-year contract with the Swiss League Farm Team, EVZ Academy, and is therefore available for the first team as its fifth foreigner.
