Two wins short of the championship title

The EVZ Women’s Team wins the first game against Bassersdorf 10:0.

The EVZ women’s team kept its clean sheet in the 23rd championship game of the season, winning by double digits. In the first final match against Bassersdorf Ladies in the BOSSARD Arena, the Zug team won 10:0. 976 fans attended the game – a record number in the playoffs. There were 605 spectators in the quarter-final against Lyss and 530 in the semi-final against Brandis.

EVZ laid the foundation for their clear first victory in the final against the runners-up in the qualifiers in the first period, when Naemi Herzig (2), Noemi Ryhner and Annika Fazokas gave them a comfortable 4:0 lead. In the middle third, Lara Stalder and Annika Fazokas (2) scored the other goals before Lara Stalder (2) and Noemi Ryhner scored the final goal in the final phase.

The final series continues on Sunday at 18:45 in the stimo arena in Kloten. The EVZ won 12:1 at this venue in the qualifiers. If the women’s team also wins this game, it will have the chance to celebrate the SWHL B championship title at home in the BOSSARD Arena next Wednesday. The third game starts at 19:45.
