Fit4Zug: More fun and games with the EVZ Stars this year too

From 27 May to 1 July, the EVZ once again worked to promote physical activity and health amongst the people of Zug as part of the popular Fit4Zug health project.

This series of events was also a resounding success and inspired numerous participants to adopt an active lifestyle. Whether it was off-ice training with our EVZ players, State Councillor Andreas Hausheer and Urs Raschle, HIIT sessions with the Hochwacht Zug women’s sports club, or floorball with Zug United – together we worked up a sweat, had a laugh and discovered just how much fun exercise can be.

You can find all the highlights from the previous Fit4Zug event series here:

Badmington, 1 July

Last but not least, the badminton training session with BC Zug was on the programme on 1 July. Unfortunately, due to the rainy weather, the event had to be moved to the Academy Arena. Also in attendance were EVZ players Luisa Waser, Tobias Geisser and Mara Frey, who treated the participants to a special evening.

Floorball, 24 June

On 24 June, a large number of children, teenagers and adults gathered at Arenaplatz for a group floorball session. The training session was led by players from the Zug United women’s and men’s teams. Also taking part were EVZ players Colin Lindemann, Nina Harju, Luisa Waser and Alina Marti, who gave the participants tips and provided plenty of sporting highlights.

Off-ice training, 17 June

On 17 June, the EVZ professionals took matters into their own hands. Luisa Waser, Annika Fazokas, Sven Senteler and Elia Riva led an off-ice training session in sweltering heat. State Councillor Andreas Hausheer and City Councillor Urs Raschle were also right in the thick of it. Sport meets politics and the public – an extremely successful evening!

Pickleball, 10 June

A new sport as part of Fit4Zug! On Wednesday 10 June, Mara Frey, Nina Harju, Loris Wey and Nic Balestra gave pickleball a go. The evening was organised by Taurus Zug and Pickleball-Corner.

Football, 3 June

Just before the start of the World Cup, football took centre stage at the EVZ for once. Together with the local football club, Zug 94, we ran a session with the ball. Right in the thick of it: Lara Stalder, Leonie Kutzer and Tobias Geisser.

HIIT training, 27 May

On 27 May, Fit4Zug kicked off with a HIIT session led by the Hochwacht Zug Women’s Sports Club. The EVZ players Lia Egger, Annic Büchi, Nik Petrovic and Livio Stalder also had a great time – and were naturally in high demand at the autograph session.
