When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected by means of a cookie. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the website content requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. It is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
  • Ensuring the smooth use of our website,
  • evaluation of system security and stability and
  • for other administrative purposes.

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest from the aforementioned purposes for data collection. Recipients of the data are only the controller and, if applicable, processors.

Anonymous information of this kind may be statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our website and the technology behind it.

5. Internal data exchange and single sign-on (SSO)

Damit entfallen redundante Datenadministrationsprozesse in verschiedenen Systemen.

6. Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called 'cookies'. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard disk. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Using the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable our web pages to be displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the cookie data collected by us be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

You can find more information about cookies here: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cookie

10. Comment function

When users leave comments on our website, the time of their creation and the user name previously selected by the website visitor are stored in addition to this information. This is for our security, as we can be prosecuted for illegal content on our website, even if it was created by users.

On the basis of your express consent, we will regularly send you our newsletter or similar information by e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided.

To receive the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).

This is used to assign the request and subsequently answer it. The provision of further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.

13. Links

This website may contain hyperlinks to other websites that are not operated or monitored by us. These third-party websites are not subject to this Privacy Policy and we are not responsible for their content or their policies regarding the handling of personal data. We recommend that you read the policy of the respective websites and check how they protect your personal data and whether they are trustworthy.

14. Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (hereinafter 'Google'). Google Analytics uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The purpose of data processing is to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. Based on the use of the website and the Internet, further associated services are then to be provided. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

15. Use of Google Webfonts

We use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers.

Google web fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.

Calling up script or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible - although it is currently unclear whether and for what purposes - that operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: www.google.com/policies/privacy/

16. Verwendung von Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information visually. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of the map functions by visitors. You can find more information about data processing by Google in the Google data protection information policies.google.com/privacy. You can also change your personal data protection settings there in the data protection center.

Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here support.google.com/accounts/answer/3024190

17. Google AdWords - Conversion Tracking

To evaluate and optimize our online advertising, we use so-called Conversion Tracking as part of the Google AdWords online advertising program. This helps us to determine whether and how many users reach our sites via Google advertising. When you click on a Google ad, Google places a so-called Conversion Cookie on your computer. This cookie has a "lifetime" of 30 days. If a user visits one of our pages via one of our Google ads within these 30 days, Google and we can recognize through which ad this visitor reached us. Personal data that could identify individual visitors is not collected. We only receive a statistical evaluation of the total number of users who clicked on our ads and were directed to our site.

For more information on Google Conversion Tracking, please visit the following link.

You can object to the use of conversion cookies and thus disable conversion tracking by:

  • configuring your browser to not accept cookies. However, this may limit the use of our website and services, or
  • disabling interest-based ads from Google in the Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com.

18. Google Ad Manager

We also generate advertising revenue on evz.ch. To deliver ads in a targeted manner and maximize success for advertisers (for example, by preventing the same ad from being shown repeatedly to the same user), we use an AdServer that controls ad delivery—such as through the use of cookies. EVZ uses Google Ad Manager for ad delivery. You can find more information about this service here: cookiepedia.co.uk/cookies/__gads.

You can opt out of the use of cookies by the Ad Manager by:

  • configuring your browser to not accept cookies. However, this may limit the use of our website and services, or
  • disabling interest-based ads from Google in the Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com.

19. Embedded YouTube videos

On some of our websites, we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. In the process, YouTube is informed about which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your browsing behavior with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies to collect information about user behavior.

Anyone who has disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program will also not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personally identifiable usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

For more information on data protection at YouTube, please refer to the provider's privacy policy at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

20. Social Plugins

Our websites use social plugins from the providers listed below. You can recognize these plugins by their respective logos.

Through these plugins, information—including personal data—may be transmitted to the service provider and possibly used by them. To prevent the unintentional and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider, we use a two-click solution. To activate a social plugin, you must first enable it by clicking the corresponding button. Only after activation will information be collected and transmitted to the service provider. We do not collect any personal data ourselves through the social plugins or their use.

We have no control over what data an activated plugin collects or how it is used by the provider. Currently, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established and that at least the IP address and device-related information are collected and used. There is also a possibility that service providers may attempt to store cookies on your device. For details on what data is collected and how it is used, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective service providers.

Note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook may be able to identify you as a visitor to a specific page.

We have integrated social media buttons from the following companies on our website:

21. Facebook Remarketing / Retargeting

Our pages have integrated remarketing tags from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. When you visit our pages, a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server is established through the remarketing tags. This allows Facebook to receive information that you have visited our page with your IP address. As a result, Facebook can associate your visit to our pages with your user account. The information obtained in this way can be used by us for displaying Facebook ads.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have access to the content of the transmitted data or how it is used by Facebook. For more information, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If you do not want data to be collected via Custom Audience, you can deactivate Custom Audiences here: www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/

22. Online-Activation

The provision and technical implementation of certain online fan games (e.g., Player of the Game Voting) are carried out by Fannex. When participating, the following data is transmitted: access data, login data, user profile, and fan game data. Fannex has contractually committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the processed data; for more information, please refer to their privacy and terms of use (https://fannexlive.com/web-privacy-policy/). Fannex stores the recorded data exclusively pseudonymized, along with a randomly generated user ID, for its own purposes and statistically analyzes the aggregated pseudonymized user profiles (e.g., correlations for trend identification).

If the online fan games are sponsored, the aforementioned data is also transmitted to the sponsor (for marketing purposes in non-pseudonymized form); the sponsor has also contractually committed to ensuring the confidentiality of the processed data; for more information, please refer to their privacy and terms of use (https://www.bossard.com/ch-de/datenschutzerklaerung). Fannex acts as the data processor of the sponsor, meaning that Fannex stores and processes these data on behalf of and according to the instructions of the sponsor.

No correspondence is conducted via the fan games; any potential prizes will not be paid out in cash and cannot be transferred; legal recourse is excluded.

23. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g., with the introduction of new services. The new privacy policy will apply to your subsequent visits.
