The six events, held from 27 May to 1 July, were well attended and a resounding success. Ibi Can, Head of Marketing & Sales at EVZ, once again gave a positive assessment: “A great event, despite the heat. There were plenty of participants again and everything went smoothly.” This is also a compliment to Florian Estermann and Seraina Knobel, who were primarily responsible for the project within the EVZ Marketing department.
New to the programme this year: badminton and pickleball, a cross between tennis and padel. Under the motto ‘Moving Together’, participants were keen to try out all the sporting activities on offer. “An average of 45–50 people of all ages took part in the six events – more than last year,” says Florian Estermann. Among the recreational and amateur sports enthusiasts, prominent figures from Zug’s political scene were also spotted: Cantonal Councillor Andreas Hausheer and City Councillor Urs Raschle mingled with the sporty crowd.
As with previous editions of the event, which has been running since 2012, nobody went home empty-handedthis time either . All participants received a water bottle featuring the new EVZ logo. As always, the ice hockey players in attendance took the time to sign autographs and chat with people.
