After last week’s extremely successful run of nine points from three games, EVZ will be looking to build on the momentum and take revenge in the Leventina for the 3-2 home defeat against Ambrì-Piotta at the start of the season. Thanks to five wins from their last six games, EVZ have now climbed to fourth place in the table, while the Biancoblù have gone the other way due to four defeats in five games and are currently in 10th place.
The Gotthard derby is on the program on Tuesday (29 October, 7.45 pm)!
New signing Daniel Voženílek is doing particularly well for Zug – he has scored in nine games in a row and has drawn level with Bill McDougall, who achieved the same feat with EVZ in 1997. Across the entire league, the Czech is five games shy of equaling the record that Lance Nethery set with HC Davos in 1985 with 14 goals in a row. He could take the sole record at EVZ on Tuesday night in Ambrì if he scores for the twelfth time this season.
