After last year’s premiere, which IFK Helsinki won in a Scandinavian duel with Rögle, the top-class junior teams from all over Europe will meet again in Zug from August 14-18. New this year is Red Bull Salzburg from the Red Bull Academy. The young bulls play in the Alps Hockey League, the second-highest Austrian league, where they reached the semi-finals last season. In the very first game of the Prospects Challenge, the Salzburg team will face host EVZ on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. in the BOSSARD Arena.
EVZ U20-Elit Head Coach Thomi Derungs is looking forward to the tournament: “The Prospects Challenge offers the perfect opportunity for a showdown with some of the best teams in Europe and allows us to assess our position shortly before the start of the season.” Last year, EVZ finished the Prospects Challenge in 4th place, this year they are aiming for the medals.

The 2nd EVZ Prospects Challenge will take place in Zug from August 14-18, 2024. In the opening game on Wednesday evening, the EVZ will host the juniors of Red Bull Salzburg.
