The players are relying on the support of the fans to achieve their goal. In the first game in Zug (10:0 win), the almost 1000 spectators created a great atmosphere.
Noemi Ryhner and Ivana Wey could also achieve a statistical milestone on Wednesday: The EVZ forwards have each scored 49 goals in the season to date, meaning they are on the verge of 50. Ivana Wey was the top scorer with four goals in the 17-0 win in the second final match against Bassersdorf Ladies on Sunday.The Zug team started the game in front of around 200 fans in the Stimo Arena in Kloten.However, they struggled a little in the first period to make the most of their chances. They also failed to capitalize on two power plays. They went into the second period with a 3:0 lead – and now the knot burst. Nina Harju, Naemi Herzig, Ivana Wey (3), Jael Manetsch and Noemi Ryhner scored the goals for a 10:0 lead after 40 minutes. The score in the final period was also 7:0 from Zug’s point of view. In the 57th minute, EVZ striker Leonie Kutzer had reason to be particularly happy: with her long-range shot to make it 14:0, she scored three goals in one game for the first time this season.
