After studying at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and four years in the NCAA, Nicole Vallario is returning to Switzerland. The national team defense-player has signed a contract with the EVZ for the 2025/26 season.
The defender signs a contract with the EVZ Women’s Team for the next season.

“The fans and the great atmosphere in the BOSSARD Arena are something very special for Swiss women’s ice hockey. My goals in Zug are to develop myself both athletically and personally, to be successful with the team and to be able to show the fans exciting games!” says Nicole Vallario.
Daniela Diaz, Head Coach of the EVZ Women’s Team, is delighted to have signed the 23-year-old: “Nicole is a creative offensive defenseman who fits in very well with our game and is the perfect addition to our team.”
Nicole Vallario has registered for the PWHL draft in the summer of 2025 and has an opt-out clause with the EVZ should a team from the Professional Women’s Hockey League secure the rights to the Ticino native.
