Thanks to a very strong regular season and a one-point lead over EVZ, the women of SC Bern secured home ice for the playoffs. In the semi-final, they took advantage of this against the HCAP Girls with two convincing home wins and a break in Ticino – but only after overtime. Now the two best teams in qualifying will face off in the final. The Zug team has had the upper hand in each of the four previous meetings, but everything starts from scratch again in the playoffs. Head coach Daniela Diaz says: “We shouldn’t be interested in what happened before. The most important thing is to stay in the moment and keep faith in our plan and our path.”
The EVZ Women’s Team starts the playoff final on Saturday (March 22, 1 p.m.) at the PostFinance Arena.
