The streak began on October 5 at home against SC Bern, and since then the Czech has scored in every game. With his 10th goal in as many games, Daniel Voženílek broke the record set by Bill McDougall at EVZ in January 1997. In the game against HC Ambrì-Piotta, the 2024 world champion scored the equalizer in the 45th minute to make it 2-2 and set up Sven Senteler’s overtime-winning goal in the 65th minute with a wonderful cross-ice pass.
Daniel Vozenilek sets a new EVZ club record with his 10th goal in 10 games.
In total, the EVZ’s top scorer has collected 21 points (12 goals, 9 assists) in 16 games so far – that’s 1.31 points per game! This means Voženílek is currently also the league’s top scorer. The forward is still four goals short of the National League record – Lance Nethery set it in 1985 with HC Davos thanks to 14 games in a row with at least one goal.
