The Seelanders and Zug last met exactly six weeks ago – with EHC Biel coming out on top. Despite the EVZ having more of the play, the visitors from Biel won 3:1 thanks to their efficiency. It was the fifth defeat in the ninth game of the season for Head Coach Dan Tangnes’ team and they slipped into the basement of the table.
On Friday evening (November 22, 7.45 p.m.), the EVZ will face EHC Biel-Bienne away from home.
A month and a half later, EVZ and EHC Biel are hovering around the line that would mean direct playoff qualification. With one game and four points more, the EVZ is in 5th place after the home win against the SCRJ Lakers, while Biel is in 7th. The EVZ wants to confirm Friday’s good performance on Saturday and secure a 6-point weekend. After a short night, however, they will need a strong team performance against a well-rested Biel team.
While the 1st team is playing away in Biel, the U20-Elit team is hosting EHC Biel-Bienne Spirit at home in the BOSSARD Arena. Admission is free, the EVZ juniors are looking forward to your support!
