Eric Schneller will strengthen the EVZ defense starting next season. The tall defenseman ventured into the Swedish junior league in 2021. In Ängelholm, the Swiss-Swedish dual citizen played for Rögle BK, one of Europe’s most renowned training organizations, for three seasons. In 2024, Schneller did not return to his home club ZSC, but instead joined Genève-Servette.
Reto Kläy sees the young right-handed shooter as a playmaker with a lot of potential:
Defenseman Eric Schneller will play for EVZ starting next season. The 20-year-old has signed a two-year contract until the end of the 2027/28 season.
«Eric not only knows how to make optimal use of his size, but can also make an offensive impact with his skills at the puck and his overview of the game.»
Reto Kläy, General Manager EVZ
