EVZ will play its first test game of the 2026/27 season and thus the first game under new Head Coach Lauri Marjamäki on Saturday, 15 August, at 5.30 p.m. in the SGKB Arena against the SCRJ Lakers.
The next game is on the weekend of 22 and 23 August in South Tyrol. At the Dolomites Cup in Neumarkt (ITA), the EVZ will face the Eisbären Berlin on Saturday. On Sunday, depending on how the tournament goes, it will play the final or the game for third place against the Augsburg Panthers or HC Kometa Brno.
A week later, the next traditional tournament for the Zug team is the Lehner Cup in Sursee. There, the EVZ will first face Motor Ceske Budejovice (CZE) on Thursday evening and then the Nürnberg Ice Tigers (DEL) on Saturday 29 August. Further preparation games will follow on Friday, 4 September in the Saturn Arena against ERC Ingolstadt and on Thursday, 10 September in the Emmental Versicherungen Arena against the SCL Tigers.
The new National League season begins for the EVZ on Tuesday, 15 September with an away game. Due to the expansion of the OYM hall and the associated construction work, the first home game of the 2026/27 season will not take place until Friday, 23 October, at 7.45 pm. For the same reason, all EVZ preparation games will also take place away from home.
The detailed fixture list for the 2026/27 National League season will be published in mid-June.
