EVZ signs Bernd Wolf on a three-year contract

EVZ will be strengthening their squad from next season with the signing of Bernd Wolf (29). The Austrian defender, who holds a Swiss licence, has signed a three-year contract running until the end of the 2029/2030 season.

Bernd Wolf joins EVZ bringing a wealth of experience in Swiss ice hockey. Having come through the ranks at SC Bern, he made his National League debut with SCB in 2017. Following a two-year spell with Villacher SC in Austria, he returned to Switzerland in 2020 and played four seasons for HC Lugano. In the summer of 2024, he moved to EHC Kloten, where Wolf remains under contract for the current season. From the 2027/28 season onwards, the Austrian international (assistant captain, five World Championship appearances) will now play for EVZ. Zug have signed Bernd Wolf on a three-year contract.

Sporting director Ted Suihkonen: “Bernd is an agile, intelligent and tenacious defender who consistently performs well in the National League. Bernd’s character, both on and off the ice, fits very well with the identity we are currently building at EVZ.”
