Robin Antenen to stay at EVZ for another two years

EVZ has extended the contract of home-grown player Robin Antenen (20) early by two years, until 2028/29.

An EVZ Junior stays with EVZ.

Robin Antenen wore the EVZ jersey as far back as the U15 level, then completed the EVZ training programme ‘The Hockey Academy’ from 2021 to 2025, and made his National League debut in the 2024/25 season.

The former captain of the U20 Elite team has been part of the first-team squad for two years. To date, Antenen has played 65 matches in the National League, recording eight assists. Under Head Coach Lauri Marjamäki, he has featured in all eleven NL matches this season. His contract, which was due to expire in the spring, has now been extended by a further two years until 2028/29.

Ted Suihkonen, General Manager of the EVZ, is delighted about the continued partnership: “We are very pleased that Robin remains committed to the EVZ. As a player from our own youth academy, he epitomises the development path we believe in as an organisation. Robin is a young player with a strong work ethic, a good understanding of the game and the determination to keep improving. With his qualities and character, he is a very good fit for our organisation.”

Robin Antenen: “I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the EVZ fans for another two years. I’ve grown up here as a young player, and I want to keep developing and be successful with the team.”
