The Zug team overcame an early 2-0 deficit in the last 22 minutes of the game on Friday evening to save themselves in overtime, but after 3.5 minutes Jere Somervuori made everything clear for last year’s tournament winners IFK Helsinki and secured the group win for the Finns. It is therefore clear that the EVZ will play for third place on Sunday morning at 9.00 am in the BOSSARD Arena. The name of the opponent is still open: This will be decided on Saturday afternoon in the game between Rögle BK, who defeated Liberec 3-2 on penalties on Friday afternoon, and the GCK/ZSC Lions.
