Last year’s defending champions gave Red Bull Salzburg no chance in the evening game on Thursday: The Finns won their second Group A clash 6:1. Now the hosts and the Finns will duel for the group win in the last preliminary round match. Assistant coach Reto Suri is looking forward to the game: “The encounter with Helsinki will certainly be a tough test. We still have potential and want to play our game again and be even more cold-blooded.”
Last year’s finalists Rögle BK (SWE) will also play their first game of the tournament in the afternoon. They will face the Czech team Bílí Tygři Liberec, who narrowly lost 3-2 to the GCK/ZSC Lions yesterday. The Lions and Rögle will finally meet in the last group game on Saturday at 12:00 noon.
Admission to all games of the EVZ Prospects Challenge is free.
On Friday evening, the EVZ will face IFK Helsinki as part of the EVZ Prospects Challenge.
