21st win in 21 games: The EVZ Women’s Team remains unblemished in the SWHL B championship. The Zug team won the first semi-final game against the Brandis Ladies on Saturday in front of 530 fans in the BOSSARD Arena with a score of 19-0, meaning that they did not concede a goal against this opponent in their third meeting of the season.
 
The first period ended 8:0 in favor of the EVZ. Remarkable: Seven different scorers were responsible for the goals. Only Annika Fazokas scored twice. In the middle period, Zug increased the score to 13:0. 18-year-old center Ivana Wey scored her championship goals 39 and 40 with a double strike. In the final tally, she recorded 9 scorer points – her best score of the afternoon. EVZ were still missing Lena-Marie Lutz and Annic Büchi due to injury.
 
The second match continues on Sunday evening in the Brünnli-Halle in Hasle (game starts at 7.30 pm). If the Zug team wins, they will advance to the final for the SWHL B championship title, which begins on March 9. A possible deciding game against the Brandis Ladies would be played on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the BOSSARD Arena. Bassersdorf and Zunzgen-Sissach will meet in the second semi-final. The first game will be played on Saturday evening.
