In mid-September, the EVZ qualified for the final tournament of the EWHL Euro Cup in Budapest with two convincing victories against St. Pölten and HK Budapest in the preliminary round games and now has the chance to secure its first title of the season this fall.
On October 19 and 20, the EVZ Women’s Team will play for the first title of the season in the EWHL Euro Cup.
Already last year, the EVZ women competed against the best teams in Europe, and the tournament also took place in the BOSSARD Arena – but it ended in disappointment for the Zug team: In the semi-final, they fell to MAC Budapest by the narrowest of margins in extra time, but ensured a conciliatory end to the tournament and a bronze medal with a 1-0 win against Hokiklub Budapest. The title went to ECDC Memmingen.
And this year’s finalists are exactly the same: Memmingen will come to Zug to defend their title, but will be challenged by the two teams from the Hungarian capital and, of course, the hosts EVZ.
