ZSC Lions Frauen vs EVZ

The EVZ will face the ZSC Lions on Thursday (November 28, 8:15 p.m.). On Saturday, they travel to SC Bern (November 30, 5.30 p.m.).

For the first time since its foundation, the EVZ Women’s Team has lost two games in a row. The 2:3 home defeat against HC Davos Ladies was followed by a 2:4 loss at HC Fribourg-Gottéron – the consequence: third place in the PostFinance Women’s League. Zug squandered a 2:0 lead in the BCF Arena and showed a lack of concentration before conceding the goals. One reason for this was the low energy level, as the EVZ traveled to this game with only two defensive pairs due to several injury-related absences.

Zug’s goalie Chiara Pfosi is taking this defeat as an incentive for the upcoming games on Thursday at the sixth-placed ZSC Lions (20:15, Swiss Life Arena) and on Saturday at the PostFinance Arena against the current leaders SC Bern (from 17:30). “I’m looking forward to these encounters,” says Chiara Pfosi and explains: ”They offer us the chance to do better than in the last two matches.”

Following the defeat at HC Fribourg-Gottéron last Saturday, the EVZ players sat down together to immediately discuss possible improvements. The result? “We realized that we hadn’t been pushing each other. In the games in Zurich and Bern, we have to go for each other again, then something positive will emerge,” says Chiara Pfosi.
