Playoff semi-final: EVZ vs HC Davos Ladies

On Saturday evening (March 8, 5.30 p.m.), the EVZ Women’s Team will start the playoff semi-final against the HCD Ladies.

EVZ and Davos will face each other for the eighth time in the playoff opener. While the games in the regular season ended with just one goal difference each time, Zug won twice 3:1 in the pre-season and also celebrated a clear 7:3 victory in the Cup semi-final at the end of January. Overall, Zug are 6:1 in terms of victories. Davos’ only win came in mid-November in the BOSSARD Arena.

Saturday’s game will also be marked by International Women’s Day: as part of Ladies Night, all spectators will receive a free Cüpli as a welcome drink. The motto of this year’s Women’s Day is “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”. This message, initiated by the UN Women network, emphasizes the need for equal rights, power and opportunities for all women and girls. The young generation in particular should be empowered and supported as a driving force for sustainable change. With the “Women & Girls Program”, the EVZ is also sending a strong signal for the promotion of women’s and girls’ ice hockey. The aim is to get more girls interested in ice hockey and ensure equal promotion.

EVZ top scorer Rahel Enzler also made a major contribution to this goal. She collected a lot of points in the past regular season – for her 16 goals and 36 assists, she received 18,750 francs from PostFinance for the EVZ junior team. On Saturday, the top scorer will hand over the check to Ursula Slongo, Head of Basic and Recording Level. The money will be used for the junior girls’ teams.
