EVZ Women’s Team wins women’s label

The EVZ Women’s Team has been honoured by Swiss Ice Hockey as the winner of the women’s label for the 2025/26 season.

The aim of the women’s label is to further professionalise the two highest Swiss women’s leagues – PFWL and SWHL B. One club per league is honoured each season. The areas of sport, education, marketing, recruitment and structure are assessed. The EVZ wins the award for the third time in a row: in 2023/24 as a representative of the SWHL B, in 2024/25 and now in 2025/26 as a representative of the PWFL. In the SWHL B, this year’s award goes to Lausanne HC Féminin.

The EVZ camp is delighted. The award once again underlines the consistency with which the Zug-based organisation has been promoting girls’ and women’s ice hockey since 2023. It is symbolic not only of the EVZ Women’s Team, which sensationally won the doubles last season, but also of the Women & Girls programme in general. Year after year, girls enrol in the hockey school and more and more join the club afterwards. And with the launch of the “EVZ Women’s NXT” programme, the next milestone in the promotion of young talent has been reached.

Daniela Diaz, Project Manager EVZ Women & Girls Programme, says: “This award is a wonderful confirmation of the daily commitment of our entire organisation to the sustainable promotion of girls’ and women’s ice hockey – and that we are on the right track.”

Ibi Can, Head of Marketing & Sales EVZ, adds: “The women’s label is also a strong sign of the development and visibility of our Women & Girls programme. It shows that we are pursuing the path we have taken as an organisation as a whole consistently and with high quality.”
