Hungarian international Mira Seregély joins EVZ

The EVZ Women’s Team has signed Hungarian national player Mira Seregély (23) for the 2026/27 season. It is also now clear that Laura Fuoco will leave EVZ.

The final import spot on the EVZ Women’s Team roster for the 2026/27 season has been filled. Hungarian forward Mira Seregély is joining the Zug side from HK Budapest, which plays in the German women’s league DFEL.

Last season, the forward proved to be a reliable scorer. She recorded 36 points in 28 games for HK Budapest. Before that, Mira Seregély spent four years in the NCAA with the University of Maine. In addition, at just 23 years of age, she has already made 119 appearances for the Hungarian national team.

With the signing of Mira Seregély, it is also clear that Laura Fuoco will leave the EVZ Women’s Team. The Canadian forward joined the Zug side at the beginning of 2026 and helped the team win the double. Fuoco has entered the PWHL Draft in a bid to fulfil her dream of playing in the best league in the world.

Mira Seregély: “I am very happy about my move to EVZ and I will give my best every single day. It is a great club and I am looking forward to this new challenge in the coming season.”

Daniela Diaz, Head Coach of the EVZ Women’s Team: “Mira is the perfect addition to our team. She is a great fit for our culture both in terms of her playing style and her mindset and ambition. I would also like to thank Laura for her strong performances during the decisive phase of the season and wish her all the best for the PWHL Draft.”

This means the EVZ Women’s Team roster planning is now entering the final stretch. In addition to the previously announced contract extensions and new signings, the contract of forward Lia Egger has also been extended for the 2026/27 season. The only remaining open personnel matter for now concerns Vanessa Ryhner, who recently became a mother. The roster will ultimately be completed by four players from the youth ranks. EVZ will provide more comprehensive information on this later in the week.
