In August, HC Ambrì-Piotta announced its withdrawal from the PostFinance Women’s League. The EVZ Women’s Team is organising three friendly matches against HC Davos and the ZSC Lions to fill the vacant league fixtures – the first is scheduled for Saturday at 3.15 pm in Davos at the VAT Arena.

For Head Coach Daniela Diaz, this match on an otherwise free weekend is important: “Following the match against the ZSC Lions last Wednesday, this friendly against the HCD is the perfect preparation for our home opener next weekend!” The HCD Ladies sit in second place in the PostFinance Women’s League table, just ahead of EVZ, with one more game played and one more point. The Grisons side won the first meeting of the season on 13 September 4–1; the only goalscorer for the Zug side was Sini Karjalainen. The Finnish player suffered a serious knee injury shortly afterwards and will be out of action for months. Her contract with EVZ was limited from the outset to 18 October.

You can follow all the goals and penalties from the match directly via the game center. As this is a friendly, there will be no commentary on the liveticker. However, the match can be watched live on RED+.
