Millie Rose Sirum has been invited to the PWHL pre-season camp

EVZ forward Millie Rose Sirum has been invited to the pre-season camp of San Jose, a team in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). The camp begins on 18 November.

Good news from the west coast of America: our forward Millie Rose Sirum has been given the opportunity to trial in North America and put herself forward for the upcoming PWHL season at the pre-season camp in San Jose. The PWHL season kicks off on the weekend of 5 and 6 December.

For Sirum, who joined EVZ from Skellefteå AIK this summer, it marks a return. Before her time in Sweden, the Norwegian international had already spent five seasons in the top North American league, the NCAA. Now the 25-year-old has the chance to test herself against the best in the world’s top league. For Sirum, this marks the fulfilment of a long-held dream.

“I am so grateful for this opportunity, it is a dream come true! This is something I have been working towards since I graduated from college. I look forward to showing what I can do out there!”

She also emphasises the support she has received from the EVZ right from the start: “I am also very grateful to my coaches, all the staff working with our team and my team-mates for supporting me and helping me prepare for this.”

The Norwegian, who holds an American passport, has settled in very well in Zug. In her first five matches for the EVZ Women’s Team, Sirum scored four goals and provided two assists. Sirum will remain on the EVZ’s books until the World Cup break, which begins on 26 October.

The EVZ warmly congratulates Millie Rose on this special opportunity and wishes her every success for the pre-season camp!
