The Family Game focuses not only on the stars on the ice, but also on the kids in the stands! The game on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. is designed to give children the opportunity to experience their first ice hockey game live in the stadium, get up close and personal with their idols, and create unforgettable memories.

Off the ice, mascot Kolin will also be on hand to provide entertainment. Anyone who is not yet a member of the Kids Club will have the opportunity to sign up that afternoon in the OYM hall. Great events and exciting surprises await children between the ages of 0 and 13.

During the first intermission of the game, the stars of tomorrow will also be giving their all: be sure to stay in your seats and cheer on the EVZ’s young talents!

Let’s now turn our attention to the sporting side of things: Both EVZ and EHC Biel-Bienne had Saturday off. On Friday evening, Zug finally ended their four-game losing streak in Zurich. Despite Zurich having far more chances, EVZ took two points from the Swiss Life Arena after a penalty shootout. The man of the match was Leonardo Genoni. The Zug goalkeeper was once again in inspired form, driving the Lions to despair.

The situation was different for the Seelanders: despite leading 4-2 at the halfway point, Biel came away empty-handed at home. The SCRJ Lakers turned the game around from the 34th minute onwards with four unanswered goals. Head coach Martin Filander’s team remains stuck in second place, despite winning seven of their last ten games. The home team won the first match between the two teams at the TISSOT Arena at the end of September 2-0 – it was Biel’s first victory after 60 minutes at that time.

EVZ will also be without the suspended David Sklenicka on Sunday. The list of injured players is unlikely to get any shorter, with no returns expected.
