Mission Drei Punkte im Emmental

On Tuesday evening, EVZ travels to Emmental, where Zug will face the SCL Tigers.

On Tuesday evening, EVZ travels to Emmental, where Zug will face the SCL Tigers. The hosts are currently ninth in the table and are going through a difficult phase, having failed to win their last three games. In addition, Emmental will have to cope with two injury-related absences following last Friday’s game against Lausanne HC: Jerome Bachofner and Saku Mäenalanen had to leave the game injured. It is still unclear how long the Finnish forward will be out of action. Langnau is already looking for a replacement for Mäenalanen.

EVZ, on the other hand, is in impressive form. In their last two games, Zug showed their offensive strength and scored an impressive 14 goals. Head coach Michael Liniger’s team wants to carry this momentum forward and continue its winning streak in Emmental.

Contract extension in defense

There was also positive news off the ice: EVZ has extended its contract with Czech defenseman David Sklenička ahead of schedule until the 2027/28 season.

General Manager Reto Kläy is delighted with the agreement: «He impresses with his vision and playmaking skills. In addition to his defensive stability, he also knows how to get involved in the offense.»
