Nine games, nine wins?

The EVZ Women’s Team wants to continue its perfect start to the season and pick up three points against Neuchâtel on Sunday afternoon.

The 911 spectators in the OYM hall had to wait and shiver for 58 minutes and 35 seconds last Sunday before the first goal of the game was scored: A wonderful combination from Ivana Wey and Noemi Neubauerova – notably while shorthanded! – brought relief to the fans as the EVZ Women’s Team secured their eighth win in eight games against the Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies.

Goalie Chiara Pfosi also had every reason to celebrate. The 27-year-old secured her third shutout of the season, having already kept a clean sheet against Bern and Langenthal. Among other things, she delighted the match attendees last weekend with saves like this one.

This Sunday, October 12, spectators at the OYM hall can look forward to another spectacular event starting at 2:30 p.m. The Zug women won their away game in Neuchâtel 7-1, and last season the EVZ scored an average of 6.5 goals per game – head coach Daniela Diaz’s team won their games 8-1, 5-0, 8-2, and 5-0. So fans will most likely have more than one goal to cheer about…
