Aiming for 5th home win in a row against Biel

After home victories over Bern, Genève-Servette, Rauma and Kloten, the EVZ will also be looking to pick up three points against EHC Biel on Friday.

Two days, two games, two wins, a CHL semi-final qualification and three points in the National League. Zug’s mammoth week with five games in eight days has got off to a perfect start in terms of results. And if you look at EVZ’s most recent home statistics, fans can also be optimistic about Friday’s game.

After all, EVZ has won all of its games at home in the OYM hall in recent weeks. At the end of November, SCB (4:2) and Genève-Servette (3:1) were worked off the ice. This week, the Zug team defeated Lukko Rauma (3:0) and Kloten (5:4).

On Friday, the EVZ will play its third home game in four days. EHC Biel will be the guests in the OYM hall. The Seelanders have not yet really got going this season. After three wins en suite in mid-November, the last four games have resulted in three defeats. Although Biel are only two places behind EVZ in the table, they have 12 points fewer. The goal this season should be to reach the play-ins.

Zug, on the other hand, would like to secure a place in the top 6. EVZ fans have fond memories of their last duel with EHCB, when after a clear 4:0 lead after two periods in the family game, a 4:3 victory was narrowly secured. However, EVZ were beaten 0:2 away at Lake Biel in September.

If they manage a complete victory on Friday, it would be Zug’s first three wins in a row this season. On Saturday, they could then extend this series against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers on the Obersee. It is the fourth game in five days. There will then be a two-day break before the end of the last game this year against HC Davos in the OYM hall.
