Third duel against the Lionesses

On Saturday, the EVZ will face the ZSC Lions women for the third time in 16 days.

The second-to-last game of the regular season away at the Swiss Life Arena is all about the children, parents and fans – the ZSC Lions are organising a Family Day with a great supporting programme. The girls from the Young Bulls Hockey School will be competing in a tournament from 8.00 a.m., before the real highlight of the day follows at 2.00 p.m.: The Cup semi-final rematch between the ZSC Lions and the EVZ. EVZ fans can also benefit from a discount code for their tickets on Saturday: Enter the promo code “ZSC50” when buying tickets and get your ticket for just CHF 10!

The two teams already faced each other in the OYM hall on 8 January. A fortnight ago, Chiara Pfosi celebrated a shutout, Laura Fuoco scored her first goal for the EVZ in her first game and Chiara Eggli scored twice. Two further goals from Rahel Enzler and Annic Büchi made the final score 5:0.

Last Friday, the Zug team struck again in the cup semi-final. They swept the Zurich team off the ice with a 7:1 victory and secured their ticket to the final. While EVZ already have the qualifying win in the bag and will go straight into the play-offs in the semi-finals in March, the Lionesses have home advantage in the quarter-finals with two rounds to go. They are currently one point behind Fribourg, but also have one more game to play than the team from Saanen.

FAMILY GAME

On Sunday, the last game of the regular season and also the last match before the Olympic Games is on the programme. The EVZ invites you to the Family Game in the OYM hall with mascot Kolin, face painting, balloon artists and Guggen Power. The opponent on Sunday from 2.30 pm is the HCD. The Grisons team will finish the qualifiers in 6th place and will probably face HC Ambrì-Piotta in the quarter-finals.
