After the away defeat in Davos, EVZ must get back on the winning track in front of their own fans and pick up an important three points. Zug won their last home game against the Vaud team in October – but Lausanne proved to be very resistant in their home arena. The painful 7-0 defeat at the beginning of January is also still fresh in their minds and serves as additional motivation to show a clear reaction. However, Zug will not be facing an opponent in top form: Lausanne has already suffered a number of defeats this year.
Benoît Groulx’s team welcomes Lausanne HC to the OYM Hall on Friday evening.
Lausanne sees two important players return to the line-up, defenceman Nathan Vouardoux and forward Raphael Prassl, after both missed last weekend due to injury. Canadian forward Ryan Spooner, on the other hand, is no longer in the squad as he is moving to his familiar team Minsk in the KHL with immediate effect.
