Once again this year, Zuger Kantonalbank and the EVZ auctioned off the helmets of last season’s men’s team for a good cause. The helmets, which were designed by hand, feature a visualization of the Zug skyline.
At the auction of the worn and signed home and away helmets of the men’s team in May, a considerable sum of CHF 13,000 was raised, which the Zuger Kantonalbank donated to Procap Sport Zug.
With the aim of not only increasing physical fitness but also promoting social integration, Procap Sport Zug is committed to sports for the disabled. The almost 100 members can get involved in sports such as tennis, swimming, gymnastics or fitness.
Beatrice Fürst, board member of Procap Sport Zug, is delighted with the generous donation: “The contribution gives us the opportunity to provide our athletes with suitable outfits for the Special Olympics 2026 in Zug – an important step for their self-confidence and pride. In addition, we are creating unforgettable moments away from sport: pizza dinners together, excursions in the fall and a festive Chlaushöck, where the focus is on community, joy and belonging.”
