The Swede makes use of his exit clause and will play for his youth club Timrå IK from next season on.
The 30-year-old joined Zug last summer from Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (KHL). Before that, the Swedish international played two years with Ak Bars Kazan (KHL), with whom he won the Gagarin Cup in 2018. With EVZ, Lander recorded a total of 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 42 regular-season games. In the playoffs, the center has so far scored 1 assist in 3 games.
At the end of the season 2021/22, Anton Lander now pulls his exit clause due to family reasons to return home to his parent club Timrå IK. The club managed to stay in the league in the SHL this weekend in the relegation games against Djurgården Hockey.
“We regret that Anton will be leaving us after this season,” said General Manager Reto Kläy. “We wish him all the best for his future back home.”
Tack så mycket, Anton! Vi önskar dig all lycka i framtiden!
