EVZ vs EHC Kloten

On Wednesday (15 January, 7.45 p.m.), the BOSSARD Arena will host the chasing duel between the fifth-placed team and the sixth-placed team.

With 13 points from the last five matches, the EVZ – on a par with Lausanne HC – is the most in-form team in the National League. This also has a positive effect on the table: Zug are in 5th place. Thanks to their recent 4:1 win over EHC Biel, they have overtaken EHC Kloten. The latter will visit the BOSSARD Arena on Wednesday. The Zurich side have lost three of their last five games, but won the last one with a 3-2 victory against the SCL Tigers. Miro Aaltonen scored his 20th goal of the season. This figure is top of the league.

At EVZ, Daniel Voženílek and Lino Martschini are tied as the top scorers with 14 goals each. Lino Martschini has now scored a total of 252 goals for the EVZ and is thus only eight goals behind Heinz Jenni’s record. Lino Martschini, who recently played his 700th game in a Zug jersey, has already collected the most scoring points in the history of the organisation. In the last meeting with EHC Kloten, the 31-year-old was credited with two assists. Zug won 5-0 in commanding style at the end of November, the EVZ’s seventh win in the last ten meetings with the Zurich side at the BOSSARD Arena. Speaking of performances in front of their own fans: After three wins in a row recently, Zug are in 3rd place in the home table.
