4 shutouts, only 7 goals against and an incredible save percentage of 95.3%! Leonardo Genoni was simply world-class at the World Championships in Herning (DEN) and Stockholm (SWE) and was awarded the MVP title as most valuable player by the media present for his outstanding performances.
EVZ goalkeeper Leonardo Genoni was named the most valuable player of the entire tournament at the World Championships with the Swiss national team in Herning and Stockholm.
With his 12th World Championship shutout in the semi-final against Denmark, Genoni also equaled the record of the Czech Jiri Holecek. Perhaps Leo “The Wall” will have the opportunity to set the sole record at next year’s World Championship at home with a 13th World Championship game without conceding a goal and, together with the Swiss National Team, also win the long-awaited World Championship gold after personally winning three World Championship silver medals…
We are proud of Leonardo Genoni’s great performance and the success of the entire team! 🥈🙌🏻
