For a long time, the game between Zug and Munich was evenly matched in the OYM hall, which was very well filled with 4,516 spectators but also summery warm: until the 47th minute, the score was 2-2. Then Sven Leuenberger and Nando Eggenberger broke away while shorthanded, and the latter scored to give EVZ the lead for the first time – it would also prove to be the game-winning goal. The other goals for Zug were scored in the 16th minute by Lukas Bengtsson (assists Nic Balestra, Daniel Vozenilek), Andreas Wingerli (34th minute, assists Nando Eggenberger, Loris Wey), Dominik Kubalik (56th minute, assist Mike Künzle) and Fabrice Herzog (58th minute into an empty net, assists Lukas Bengtsson, David Sklenicka).
Thanks to a better goal difference compared to SC Bern, who also won both games of the Lehner Cup, EVZ takes the trophy back to Zug for the second time in a row.
The EVZ defended its Lehner Cup title with a 5-2 victory over Red Bull Munich.
