Dan Tangnes’ departure marked the official end of his chapter at EVZ. During his seven seasons with Tangnes, EVZ reached the playoff finals three times, won the cup in 2019, became Swiss champions in 2021 and 2022, and set a points record in the 2020/21 regular season.
After a tribute by EVZ CEO Patrick Lengwiler together with Chairman HP Strebel and General Manager Reto Kläy, Dan Tangnes gave an emotional speech thanking the EVZ organization, all the players, and above all the people of Zug, who believed in him, supported him, and provided countless unforgettable moments.
On Tuesday, September 23, the EVZ’s long-standing successful coach was officially bid farewell before the game against HC Davos.
