The 19-year-old Slovenian joined EVZ U17 Elite in 2021, and Nik Petrovic is now in his third season as a regular member of the U21 Elite team – currently also as top scorer with nine goals and six assists in ten games. The forward has also had a taste of professional ice hockey: last season, he was on loan to Swiss League team EHC Chur for five games, and this season he is playing with EVZ in the Champions Hockey League, where there is no limit on the number of import players.
Nik Petrovic has signed his first professional contract with EVZ, starting next season. He will remain in Zug until at least 2028.

Starting next season, Petrovic will have a Swiss license, which means he will not count toward the foreign player quota in the National League.
