Croce signs with EVZ for one year plus option

The EVZ has signed goalkeeper Mathieu Croce for the coming season. The 22-year-old has signed a contract for 2026/27 with an option for a further season.

Born in Geneva, he moved from Genève-Servette HC to the youth department of HC Davos at the age of 16, where he also made his National League debut in the 2020/21 season. Three years later, Croce ventured into the Finnish junior league to join Kärpät Oulu, where he also played nine games for their partner team Kokkolan Hermes in the second-highest professional league, Mestis.

In 2024, the young goalie returned to his homeland and joined HC Thurgau, for whom he is now playing his second season and has an outstanding save percentage of 93.9% in eleven games so far, with eight wins and three losses. Both this season and last season, Croce was loaned to EHC Kloten for several games via a B license, but has not yet seen any playing time.
